technically, it is the 25th at actual time of posting but who cares...
Today’s Lucky Number: 14
I had 3 conversations involving the number 14 today. I checked the clock twice, once at 2:14 p.m. and once again at 10:14 p.m. And too top it off, one of the files I just downloaded (for proper Firefox functionality :oy: ) that was 1.4MB. So it is now official…. 14 was today’s lucky number.
Word of the Day: Anywhozzle … don’t ask!
Phrase of the day: Can I offer you some flooggle-ka-ka? - Rose Nylund/The Golden Girls
Random Act of Weirdness: Today, while shopping with me moms at the Wal-Mart (which I almost despise), I passed a uniformed officer of the law. A county cop. I noticed that he was standing in a far off corner and sort of assumed that he possibly watching someone in the store or something. Well, you know what they say about assuming…. A few cluttered isles down, I stand in an overly perplexed situation, deciding what toothpaste to pick and notice the cop at the end of my isle, just standing there, staring out towards my direction sort of blankly, half way covered by a mess of a end-cap display. I think nothing much of it and chose my Crest and head, in his direction, towards the next isle. As I pass around him, he is still motionless in a wild blue yonder gaze, I suddenly get a deadly whiff of something awful foul. I immediately realize that this dude, this officer of the law, is cutting the cheese up and down the freaking isles of Wal-Mart. I wanted so bad to yell Citizen’s Arrest! Citizen Arrest! in true Barney Fife fashion. But I contained myself and stared at the cat food somewhat still suffering from the male version of toxic shock syndrome and just chuckled it off, amazed at what people do in public places.
Another Paula Deen moment: Well, actually it involves her sons this time. Last night, around 4 a.m., my insomniac self decided to watch a little tube and, of course, there is nothing on but paid programming and a few series that I have no active interest in. So I land on Food Network and a show called Road Tasting. As soon as I click “ok” on the remote, in my face are Paula Deen’s sons, Jamie and Bobby. UGH! Irritate much?!? It makes me nauseous, seriously. I couldn’t even enjoy the show for listening to these two nerds act like they know what the hell they are talking about. And seriously, why are you on TV? Your mom is famous. Not you two, shut up, sit back and enjoy mama’s money. Sorry about that little tirade… the whole Deen empire just grates my nerves. Paula’s plastered fake smile everywhere you look and now her sons cashing in on her coat tails is just all too much for little old me.
Anywhozzle ;)
Bubba and Vivi (my cats) are getting used to one another. Today, I caught a few pics of there cute little moment in the open window. Which, by the way, it was a gorgeous day here in Georgia today.
Oh and I really liked Today’s Special Value on QVC today. And a cute little sweater too. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to buy them right now but even if I could, I wouldn't even be able to choose just one pair. I love the black, the purple and the green but I like them all.
So... I have a couple of other things I am working on but I don’t want to keep on rambling so I will wrap it up for now and get back to you all with the rest another night.
