Tiny Bubbles

a little bit of everything all rolled into one

February 28, 2009 *revised*

It's been a busy couple of days here in Jenn's world.  Nothing out of ordinary or anything, just busy with the usual - work, mom, my life. With starting work and caring for my mom, I stay pretty busy.  I also have to manage to keep my house clean, care for the kitties, and have time to relax or spend time with my Godkids and friends too.

Work is great. I like it so far.  I only to work a few hours a day and trust me, it is just enough to keep me entertained. I have so much to do on any given day. I am trying to re-work my routine so I can make time for a little bit of chill time.  I am still not 100% with the program, but I'd say I've got 92% of it down. Just a couple more days of work and I should feel totally in my element.  The register was difficult - like the steps you have to take seem backwards to me.  For instance, if you need to apply a 30% discount, you need to press the following keys in this order: DISC + 30 + SUB TOT but I always want to press 30 + DISC + SUB TOT.  Needless to say, Greta had to do several voids before I got the hang of that.  But seriously, shouldn't the amount of the discount come before the discount key? I still think it should.

I took my mom to an appointment yesterday. That was rough. I didn't go to sleep until 4:35AM and woke up at 6:40AM to get her to the appointment. When I picked her up, I was still half awake so most of the ride there was pretty quiet.  That is until my double espresso kicked in. haha. Out the blue, I turned the radio up a little and just started bouncing around and thumping the steering wheel lol. My mom was looking at me like Uh ok...

Yesterday, I also received my recycled earrings from Vanessa Weber on Etsy.  I love them! I think they are cute and fun (and recycled) hehe. I tried to snap a pic of them... excuse the minor breakout and chapped lips please ;)

I am also caring for Jess's animals while she and her hubby have a nice, secluded weekend in the mountains. I have to come twice a day to let the dogs out and wrangle up all four cats.  But at least the dogs are house broken so I don't have to worry with any accidents on the carpet.  This is the house Vivi came from and all of the cats are related to her so when I get home, Vivi is sniffing me all over like crazy. lol.

Right Now: I am chatting with Brina on msgr right now and catching up on MySugar section...and getting harrassed by Dixie. She is nudging me and making weird doggie sounds at me. I tried to let her out but she didn't go out. She has food. She has water. All seems good? IDK what her deal is but she is do darn cute about. This is her staring at me while I type this:

I never realized how much I used my bookmarks or enjoyed my preferences until I started this blog on Jess's computer. Everything is not where I have it and I have nothing cool or interesting to share with you all either. In fact, between Sugar and Facebook sites, I haven't even used her computer because I feel so out of place while using it lol.  And she uses IE without tabs.  I am so lost without my-colored tabs.

I have to go to work tomorrow from 11 - 6. That is really sucking honestly. I haven't worked a Sunday or entire weekend at all for that matter in over 7 years.  I don't mind that I have to work on Sunday, it just sorta blows a little. I mean I probably wouldn't be doing much else tomorrow so why not work but still when you are used to having the weekends off for so long, it just seems strange.

Well,  I have managed to get enough accomplished (and post this most random update) to make a little down time just for me. It is now raining and I think I am going go chill on Jess's comfy couch, drink on my new alcohol concoction: Panta (Patron+Fanta - hey its the best I could do from the choices I have over here), and watch a movie while listening to rain fall. Sounds good to me...

xoxo

Cheap & Chic? e.l.f. - eyes.lips.face.

I just bought this Mineral Foundation as well as 9 other items all priced under $5.00 each (my total with shipping was only $17.85!) but I have never used this brand before. The user reviews are mostly 4/5 stars.

I currently use Bare Escentials and I love it but am running low on the foundation and mineral veil and I don't really want to drop $40+ bucks on refills alone.  I also wanted to experiment with other mineral eye shadows but was hesitant due to the prices and slim color selections.

I was wondering if any of you have tried any of the e.l.f. products before? Did you have a good experience?

I sure hope this e.l.f. line is all it is cracked up to be. So if you have tried the line before, please drop me a line with your thoughts. Either way, I will be sure to add my reviews of the products once I give them a whirl.

Visit the e.l.f. site here.
