Guess who has good news...
ME! My mom is home from the hospital!!
No, she is not miraculously recovered but she is doing a little better. According to the doctors, a week more of very strong antibiotics should take care of everything. She has a follow up at the end of next week with her primary doctor so we will see how it goes. In the meantime, I will be hanging around and helping her out and basically being her little nurse-y. I am kind of in limbo about that, I don't mind doing it - she is my mom after all but I know we are going to butt heads a lot during this process as well. Oh well, I will just have to work on my patience level. lol.
Today was slightly hectic. It was my dad's birthday and my mom's release day. I took my dad out for breakfast this morning. Afterwards, we went together to get mom. Then we had to wait three hours for the actual check out. Once she was out, it was running all around town to 3 different pharmacies to get the meds my mom needed. And after that wild goose chase, we had to get my mom home and situated. But when that was done, I was able to chill for about 2 hours and then ran back into town with Jess to pick up Gracie's toddler bed and Tinkerbell bedding set. Too cute :)
Now I am home for good. I am so looking forward to sleeping in a little tomorrow but I still have lots to take care of now that my mom is back home. I have to go do some grocery shopping, run some errands, figure out mom's medication routine, and a couple of other things. Not sure of my weekend plans but I am sure they will revolve around my mom.
So that is my good news for the day. I am so glad I don't have to spend another day in the hospital and that my mom is home even though she isn't quite up to par. Hope you all have a nice, warm weekend. Any plans?
