Poll: How Do You Keep Time?

I don't wear watches. I mean back in the day I was a Swatch watch fanatic but that was years ago. I still remember my first Swatch in 1988.  I thought I was so cool with that watch on.  I had a couple others but that one (pictured) was always my favorite.  And it didn't help that my crush had the same one! Oh and those little rubber guards... omg... retro fo sho!

anywho...

Today, when I overheard a lady's convo about getting her daughter the Swatch anniversary watch for Christmas, I just had to check it out! I have to admit I am really not all that impressed but maybe that is because I don't wear watches anymore? Instead, I check the time by my cell or by the clock on the cable box, laptop, microwave, etc. Usually though, it is my cell that I go by. It is usually with me at most all times anyhow so it makes sense to use it as a time checker as well.

So that got me wondering... how do you keep the time day to day?

Poll: OnSugar & TeamSugar Inbox Split

In the past day or so, I have noticed that I finally have messages in my OnSugar inbox.  However, when I checked them, it was filled with messages from TeamSugar members (e.g. posts, bookmarks, looks, etc.).

Now I realize that OnSugar is part of TeamSugar (or Sugar Inc.) in some sort of fathomable fashion. With that said, I have rather enjoyed not having an inbox full of messages that I can usually find in my unread section of TeamSugar or that have no meaningful interest to me.

So the question is now for you to answer:

Would you like your TeamSugar inbox to be different from your OnSugar inbox?

What excites you most?

The holiday season is here and Christmas is just a few weeks away. Just wondering what excites you all the most this holiday season?

As for me, I am most excited to spend this holiday with all my family and friends.  And actually be able to enjoy the little things that are usually more rushed for me.  As most of you know, I am temporarily unemployed. I was very diligent in finding another job at first. But when the economy took a serious plunge, everything in my area took a stand still. Then before I knew it, Thanksgiving was here and now Christmas.

During Thanksgiving, I gave thanks to my family that I so often push away or to the side, thanks to God for helping me see who my true friends are and realizing who I am and who I want to be, and to my friends who manage to love me regardless of how weird and random I can be. I also resolved to get my act together January 1st 2009. To put my A game hat on and get out into the world again.

While unemployed, I sort of became more of a hermit than I already am. I am a homebody and am perfectly comfortable being alone. Sure I like to go out and be with friends and have a semi-social lifestyle but for the most part I like to be in the comforts of my own home and free to do my own things no matter how boring or dull it can be. But since I have no real income at the moment, I was forced to become even more of a recluse. Hell, when gas was five dollars a gallon, I was hulled up in my house for days at time simply because moving my truck from the yard was costing me money.

Anywho, looks like I got a little carried away there. But the moral of the story is that I am excited about sharing this Christmas with all my loved ones and reflecting on all the good and bad on this year.  More on the good and flushing away the bad. Like I said, New Year's Day is gonna be a new day for Jenn.  I am ready to get a respectable and enjoyable job and make my way through the world again. I took a hit but I am back up and ready to ride. lol

So you tell me... what excites you most during this holiday season?

P.S. I am also a little excited about the gifts I am giving this year. I think I did pretty damn good in selecting the perfect gift for each person on my list on a very, very limited budget! ;) And no, I didn't go all Oprah style :P

Books by Color?

So I am not an avid reader and probably only own about 20 books total. But if I did have an amazing collection of books to display, I would love to organize them by color as pictured above.  I think it looks amazing and would be a great focal point in my home. However, I'd probably be totally OCD if a book was out of place due to a subtle color tone.

So would you organize your books by color?
